Half Way Round Book now viewable online
by Paul on Jan.20, 2011, under Book, Photography, Travel
Blurb have updated their online viewer so that you can view the entire contents of Ruth and my book “Half Way Round”.
I am quite pleased with how the photo’s look online and this is a much easier, quicker and cost effective way to do a book compared to home printing and binding which I have done several times.
Eilean Donan Castle
by Paul on Jul.31, 2010, under Photography, Travel
One of my favourite locations from our short visit to Scotland last year is Eilean Donan Castle on the road out to Syke.
We only had a time for two short visits, once on the way out to Skye when the weather cleared up perfectly for about an hour and another after dark on the way back.
June Photo of the Month: Chinese Acrobats
by Paul on Jun.27, 2009, under Photography, Travel
On our Half Way Round trip we had the privalege to see several Chinese acrobatic performances. This photo is from a cultural show we saw in Chengdu and shows one of the amazing tumbling sets.
Follow this link for the complete Chengdu gallery, or this link for another show we saw in Shanghai.
Rainbow over Newcastle Habour
by Paul on Mar.03, 2009, under Photography
I have been lucky enough to spend the last five years working in and around Newcastle Harbour.
The scene captured in this photo is the beauty that greeted me one stormy afternoon as I left work on Dyke Point (a point of land that juts right out into the centre of the harbour).
The view is looking along the Eastern edge of Dyke Point towards the city with Christ Church Cathedral silhouetted against the skyline.
The map below shows shows the approximate location from which the photo was taken:
First baby photo
by Paul on Feb.16, 2009, under Baby
As you are probably aware Ruth and I are expecting our first child. All is going well even though I am still coming to grips with the whole idea and how life will soon be completely different.
Here is our first baby photo from the 20 week scan, a very computer generated image. Still totally neat 😎 even though.
