Photo of the Month – September 2008

The Panda is an internationally recognised icon of China and one of the best places to see them is the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding.

This easily visited park in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province in south west China is a good quality zoo with a range of differently configured Panda enclosures housing different age’s and varieties of Panda.

For best viewing conditions make sure you get to the park early (by 8:30 am) as the Panda action is generally all over by about 10:30 am.

The photo’s below were taken on our 2007 China trip with Intrepid travel.  For more photos from our 2007 trip  to china please visit the trip page at our main website.

Kite Surfing

The kit surfers were out in force on Newcastle Beach during a recent afternoon walk. It was a fabulous afternoon, late March, blue sky with fluffy clouds and mid twenties.
